What is a DIAPHRAGM Pump and what are its applications?
A diaphragm pump is a positive displacement pump that uses a combination of the reciprocating action of a rubber, thermoplastic or Teflon diaphragm and suitable valves on either side of the diaphragm to pump or transfer pastes and fluids. Because diaphragm pumps are so versatile, they are used in virtually every industry that requires fluid or paste transfer. They are often used as food transfer pumps as well as paste transfer pumps in the food processing industry. They are often used as water & dewatering pumps. In the bakery trade, they are used for filling, dispensing and metering food ingredients & fillings like butter, honey, jam and dough mixes, due to their efficiency and accuracy especially when connected to a batch weighing systems for accurate control of the product transfer.

Wilden AODD Pumps
The Wilden® Pumps are available in various sizes ranging from 6 mm (¼”) to 203 mm (8″), allowing for optimum flow rates. A wide variety of construction options are available to meet virtually any application requirement. Wilden pumps can handle pressures up to 21 bar (305 psig) and temperatures up to 176.7°C (350°F). Liquid path materials of construction include Aluminium, Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVDF, and carbon-filled materials such as Acetal, Polyethylene, Teflon®, PTFE, and PFA.
